Dubai is gearing up for one of cricket’s most awaited encounters as India and Pakistan face off in the Asia Cup 2025 final at the Dubai International Stadium today.
With tensions already running high after heated contests in the tournament, authorities have rolled out strict security measures to ensure a safe environment for all spectators.
Security advisory for fans
The Dubai Police have issued detailed guidelines for ticket holders attending the final. Fans are advised to arrive at least three hours before the scheduled start of play at 7:30pm PST.

Only one entry per ticket will be permitted, with no re-entry allowed once spectators leave the stadium. Supporters are also reminded to follow stewards’ instructions and use designated parking areas only.
Prohibited items inside stadium
Authorities have banned several items from being taken inside the stadium. These include:

Fireworks, flares, laser pointers, and hazardous materials

Sharp objects, weapons, toxic substances, and remote-controlled devices

Large umbrellas, selfie sticks, tripods, and unauthorized photography equipment

Flags, banners, or signs not approved by organizers

Pets, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, and glass items
Any act that promotes hate, racism, or disrupts public safety has also been strictly prohibited.

Heavy penalties for violations
The police have warned that violations such as pitch invasions, carrying banned items, or abusive behaviour can lead to fines ranging from over R380,000 to Rs2.3 million and up to three months in prison.

Fans found engaging in violence, object-throwing, or racist/abusive remarks towards players could face fines of up to Rs2.3 million. Specialized police units will be deployed at the venue to deal with any disruptions swiftly.
Historic final awaits
This will be the first time in 41 years that India and Pakistan meet in the Asia Cup final, adding even more significance to the showdown. Both teams have already clashed twice in the tournament, with Suryakumar Yadav’s India defeating Salman Ali Agha’s Pakistan on both occasions.
With high emotions and packed stands expected, authorities are leaving nothing to chance in ensuring safety and order during the cricket festival in Dubai.
