The Lahore High Court (LHC) has scheduled the hearing of a petition concerning the prices of petroleum products.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, Justice Khalid Ishaq will hear the petition on September 30. The court has requested a report from the federal government’s lawyer. The petition has been filed by the Judicial Activism Panel (JAP) through Advocate Azhar Siddique.
The petitioner argued that while prices of petroleum products have fallen in the global market, they have risen in Pakistan. The government must clarify the mechanism for increasing and decreasing petroleum product prices.
