Pakistan's total liquid foreign reserves increased to $19,735.7 million as of September 12, with the State Bank of Pakistan's reserves rising slightly to $14,357.2 million.
"During the week ended 12-Sep-2025, SBP's FX reserves increased by $21 million to $14,357.2 million," the central bank reported on Thursday in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
Meanwhile, commercial banks' net foreign reserves increased by $34 million to $5,378.5 million this week, as shown in the reserves breakdown for the period under review.
The country's total liquid foreign reserves as of the previous week, which ended September 5, were $19,680.9 million. The central bank held foreign reserves worth $14,336.3 million, while commercial banks held the remaining $5,344.6 million.
