Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has revealed that she is battling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following painful experiences in the entertainment industry, which she says left her “broken from within.”
In a recent Instagram update, the Ehd-e-Wafa star opened up about her struggle with mental illness. She wrote that grueling 12-hour shoots and the treatment she endured on set left her questioning her place in showbiz.
“People assume I spoke out for more work, but such assumptions cause me immense pain. I am living with PTSD,” she shared, adding that the experiences drove her to the point of self-hatred.

Alizeh described the world of showbiz as “humiliating,” saying she often felt treated as if she were “nothing” during long weekly shoots. She clarified that she is not seeking sympathy or projects offered out of pity but wishes she had never entered the industry.
“My intention is not to gain new roles but to be left alone, as these memories continue to make me ill,” she wrote.
Past controversies and legal disputes
The actress has previously made headlines for alleged on-set disputes. In 2021, she claimed that fellow actress Minsa Malik slapped her during a drama shoot, leading Alizeh to retaliate with a sandal. She further alleged that Malik attempted to damage her reputation and even issued death threats, prompting Alizeh to file a defamation case.
