The body of Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Abdul Samad Soomro was recovered from Bukhari Bridge in Mirpur Mathelo.
According to police, the officer had been missing since yesterday, and his family had reported the disappearance a day earlier.
Upon receiving information, Mirpur Mathelo police reached the site and shifted the body to a hospital. Authorities said investigations are underway to determine the cause of death.
