Hollywood actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to leave Los Angeles for good, marking a major shift in her life after years tied to a custody arrangement with ex-husband Brad Pitt.
The 50-year-old star, who shares six children with Pitt, has long expressed her wish to live outside the city. According to a source quoted by PEOPLE, Jolie stayed in LA only because of the custody agreement following her high-profile split.
Ready for a new chapter abroad
Insiders say Jolie has been scouting several locations overseas and plans to relocate as soon as her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year.
“Angelina never wanted to live in LA full time,” the source said. “She’ll be very happy when she’s able to leave Los Angeles.”

Jolie is said to be considering Cambodia—a country close to her heart as the birthplace of her eldest son, Maddox—among other international destinations where she can enjoy more privacy and a slower pace of life.

The Maria star purchased her 1913 mansion in 2017 for $24.5 million. The sprawling property spans more than 11,000 square feet, featuring six bedrooms and ten bathrooms, and once belonged to legendary director Cecil B. DeMille.
While the home has been a serene retreat, Jolie has openly shared her struggles with life in Los Angeles, noting that she values privacy, peace, and safety for her family—qualities she feels are easier to find abroad.
