Pakistan and West Indies will begin a three-match ODI series in Trinidad, with both teams looking to recover from a poor run of form in the 50-over format.
The series follows the T20I matches held in Florida.
West Indies, currently ranked 10th in ODIs, have missed the last two ICC tournaments in the format. With only three ODIs played in 2025—against Ireland and England—and just one win, the hosts are seeking a turnaround to stay in contention for automatic qualification for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Only the top eight teams, besides hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe, will qualify automatically.
A series win against sixth-ranked Pakistan would significantly boost their chances.
Pakistan enter the series with a poor ODI record this year, registering only one win in eight matches. Their disappointing performance in the Champions Trophy, where they exited early without a single victory, has raised pressure on the returning senior players to deliver.
The opening ODI is scheduled to be played in Trinidad.
