The performance of government schools under the PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has come under serious scrutiny after shocking matriculation exam results revealed mass failures across multiple districts.
According to official documents, hundreds of students from Peshawar, Charsadda, Chitral, Khyber, and Mohmand districts failed to clear their matric exams, sparking concern over the state of public education in the province. In some cases, all the students of many schools had failed.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar reported that out of 739 students from various government schools, only 151 managed to pass — a pass rate of just over 20%.
