India has carried out two back-to-back tests of its short-range ballistic missile ‘Pralay’ within two days, signaling continued military build-up despite a recent humiliating defeat at the hands of Pakistan.
According to Indian media reports, the tests were conducted by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) off the coast of Odisha, near Abdul Kalam Island.
The missile, with a range of 200 to 500 kilometers, is reportedly capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
Analysts see the tests as part of India's ongoing strategic preparations in the region, despite calls for restraint.
