An additional sessions court in Kot Radha Kishan has handed down the death penalty to two men convicted in a three-year-old rape case, police confirmed on Friday.
According to the police, the convicts – identified as Shafiq and Habib – were found guilty of raping a young girl three years ago. The case had been under investigation for an extended period, during which authorities collected key forensic and video evidence.
“The court announced the death sentence after conclusive evidence, including CCTV footage and DNA test results, confirmed the involvement of the accused in the crime,” a police spokesperson said.
