A shocking case of extreme domestic violence has emerged from Karachi’s Baghdadi area, where a 20-year-old newlywed woman was brutally sexually and physically assaulted by her husband just two days after their marriage.
The victim is currently fighting for her life in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Civil Hospital’s Trauma Center.
According to police officials, the woman tied the knot with Ashok on June 15. On June 17, she was subjected to severe torture and sexual violence in what authorities have described as one of the most disturbing cases of spousal abuse in recent memory.

Initially taken to Lyari General Hospital in critical condition, she was later shifted to a private hospital. As her condition continued to deteriorate, her mother was forced to transfer her for a third time — this time to the Trauma Center of Civil Hospital Karachi — where she remains admitted in ICU-3 in a critical state.
Speaking to reporters, her mother appealed for justice. “My daughter was subjected to unspeakable cruelty. We had to move her from one hospital to another just to keep her alive. I demand justice and strict punishment for my son-in-law,” she said.
Police confirmed the arrest of the accused, Ashok and said a case has been registered against him under sections 376-B (rape) and 324 (attempted murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
A Baghdadi police official said, “We have taken immediate action and arrested the accused. The investigation is ongoing, and we will ensure that the perpetrator faces the full force of the law.”
