An eight-year-old boy filed a police complaint on Thursday against two women in his neighbourhood for allegedly preventing him from playing street cricket.
According to police officials at Sakhi Peer police station, the child, identified as Ayaz and a resident of Choori Para, approached the station to report that the women repeatedly stopped him from playing in the street.
In his statement, Ayaz claimed, ‘The two women do not allow me to play in the neighbourhood.’
Police confirmed that a formal complaint had been registered and stated that appropriate action would be taken following an inquiry.
