A local court in the federal capital on Monday accepted the post-arrest bail applications of eight Chinese nationals allegedly involved in an online fraud case.
Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah of the Islamabad District and Sessions Courts approved the bail pleas against surety bonds of Rs100,000 each.
According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), a case was registered against the eight foreign nationals under charges of cybercrime and financial fraud following a complaint by a woman who claimed to have been defrauded in an online scam.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court approved the bail applications and directed the accused to furnish the required bonds.
