PTI leaders Dr. Nisar Jutt and former MNA Alamgir Khan expressed strong criticism outside Adiala Jail after being denied a meeting with the party founder, despite having court-approved permission.
Dr. Nisar Jutt told media representatives that he had come to meet the PTI founder in line with a court order and a pre-approved visitors list. "Our leader is being held in unbearable conditions. The administration is denying us access out of fear we’ll convey his message to the public," he said.
He added, “We’re sitting in the scorching heat, but our leader is enduring far worse inside the jail. This heat means nothing to us.” He alleged that the Punjab government was deliberately blocking meetings as part of a political agenda. “Our ID cards are being checked, and we are stopped at police checkpoints near the jail. This is a conspiracy by the Punjab government.”
Dr. Jutt further claimed that the refusal to allow meetings was to suppress a unified message against India. “They don’t want the world to see us united. Marium Nawaz is behind this, and under her command, farmers, labourers, traders, and industries have all been destroyed in Punjab,” he alleged.
“The excessive use of power by Marium Nawaz must stop. Pakistan needs leadership focused on solving real challenges,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, former PTI MNA Alamgir Khan echoed similar concerns. “We were not allowed to meet the party founder. This is another chapter of fascism unfolding. This is happening after the 26th Constitutional Amendment,” he said. “Even convicted Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav was treated better than our former Prime Minister.”
Khan stressed that the party had no other option but to continue peaceful protests. “We won’t give up our peaceful struggle. This movement will go on,” he said.
