Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday for a one-day official visit at the invitation of UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Upon his arrival at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, the prime minister was warmly received by UAE National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Ahmed Al Shamsi, along with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, and members of the diplomatic mission were also present at the airport to welcome him.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Tahnoon personally accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the Presidential Palace.
The prime minister is accompanied by a high-level Pakistani delegation including Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
During the visit, the prime minister is scheduled to hold a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where both sides are expected to discuss ways to further enhance bilateral ties, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, energy, and regional cooperation.
