Punjab proposed Rs 1202 billion in development schemes for the upcoming fiscal year's budget of 2025-26.

The finalized draft by the Planning and Development (P&D) Department outlines the proposed allocations across various sectors.
Urban development is expected to receive Rs145 billion, while Rs142 billion is proposed for the Local Government Department.

The Road Sector is set to get Rs120 billion, and Rs90 billion is proposed for Health and Population Welfare.
In the agriculture sector, Rs80 billion is suggested, while Rs70 billion each is allocated for Transport and Specialized Healthcare.
The School Education Department is likely to receive Rs100 billion, with Planning & Development and Governance & IT proposed to receive Rs40 billion each.
For irrigation-related development, Rs40 billion is allocated for the Irrigation Department, and Rs25 billion for Public Buildings. The Higher Education Department is to get Rs25 billion, Industries Rs12 billion, Tourism Rs30 billion, and Wildlife Rs10 billion.

Fisheries is proposed to receive Rs10 billion, Environment Rs15 billion, Skill Development Rs12 billion, and Sports Rs7.6 billion. Meanwhile, Energy is allocated Rs7.5 billion, Water Supply and Sanitation Rs6 billion, and Price Control and Commodities Management Rs5.51 billion.
Other allocations include Forestry and Livestock with Rs5 billion each, Human Rights and Minority Affairs, and Literacy with Rs4 billion each.
Social Welfare is expected to get Rs3 billion, Special Education Rs2 billion, and Information and Culture Rs5 billion.
The development budget also includes Rs 892.78 billion in local funding and Rs184.49 billion in foreign funding. Additionally, Rs124.73 billion is proposed for other development initiatives.
