A high-level, 15-member federal committee tasked with assessing the damages caused during the recent Indo-Pak conflict has formally begun its work on the directives of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, according to official sources.
Chaired by the federal interior secretary, the committee held its first meeting in Islamabad where key instructions were issued, and a plan of action was set in motion. The body has been given a strict 30-day deadline to complete its investigation and submit a detailed report to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The committee decided to immediately dispatch members to conflict-affected areas to meet with victims and collect on-ground evidence. Officials emphasized that the assessment would be comprehensive, covering civilian casualties, infrastructure damage, and national security implications.
