Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan will engage in dialogue not with the "illegitimate" government, but with the establishment.
Speaking at the Abbottabad Press Club, Barrister Saif stated that a media colony would be allocated for journalists this year. He added that when the provincial government and press club work together, problems can be resolved more effectively.
The adviser stated that the government would function more efficiently if the PTI founder were released from prison. He asserted that the government's use of retaliatory tactics would yield no meaningful results.
Barrister Saif said political stability alone is not sufficient to improve the country’s situation. He said that the PTI stood by the government during the war with India and continues to support the Pakistan Army along with the provincial administration.
He added that a nationwide movement will be launched soon, and consultations in this regard are ongoing.
Barrister Saif also stressed that party leaders should refrain from airing internal disagreements in the media.
