Karachi administration has decided to take action against illegal and unsafe billboards installed in the city.
As a first step, illegal billboards have been identified across the port city and now deputy commissioners were all set to initiate immediate action by taking priority measures.
Karachi commissioner directed deputy commissioners to form special teams for action illegal billboards.
The meeting of deputy commissioners under the chairmanship of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi made the decision that could help in saving people’s lives from potential risk in the wake of heavy monsoon spell and strong winds.
As per the report, 20 billboards have been identified in the South and East districts and it has been decided to remove 9 billboards in the central district, and six in Korangi through immediate measures.
