Duke of Sussex Prince Harry, 39, now needs to serve notice and seek formal request if he wants to visit his father King Charles III and stay at any royal properties.
Earlier this month, Prince Harry was denied a room at Windsor Castle for WellChild Awards when asked if he could stay at Windsor. It was the same time, his father Charles was staying at Balmoral to mark the anniversary of the Queen's death.
Harry wanted to at Windsor Castle so he could visit the Queen's resting place at St George's Chapel but he was denied his request that no properties were available on ‘short notice’.
It was Harry's first visit to the UK since he and Meghan were evicted from Frogmore Cottage - leaving them effectively 'homeless' in the UK.

Daily Mail reported that Buckingham Palace also told the Duke he would have to put in a formal request to see his father during his visit.
As per Telegraph report, Harry will still be allowed to stay at properties in Windsor going forward, but only if 'suitable warning' is given, upon his return to UK in January next year.
