Pop star Ariana Grande, 30, and real estate agent Dalton Gomez, 28, have formally filed for divorce.
This comes two months after news of their separation surfaced in July.
Both Grande and Gomez filed for divorce and have been discreetly working through the details of their agreement.
The divorce is characterized by mutual respect and kindness between the two parties.
They have moved on from their marriage, and the separation is amicable. The date of separation is listed as February 20, 2023.
A source close to the situation explained that the Grammy-winning singer's work commitments, particularly her filming of "Wicked" in London, led to the end of their marriage as it became long-distance. Despite this, Grande speaks highly of Gomez, describing him as her number-one fan during their marriage.
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez began dating in January 2020, making their relationship public in May of that year when they appeared together in the music video for Grande's song with Justin Bieber, "Stuck with U."
They got engaged in December 2020 and married in an intimate ceremony on May 15, 2021. Although they kept their relationship relatively private, Grande celebrated their second wedding anniversary in May 2023 with a heartfelt Instagram post.
Following her separation from Gomez, Grande is now dating her "Wicked" costar Ethan Slater. Both Grande and Slater separated from their respective spouses before beginning their relationship.
Ariana Grande is set to star as Glinda, while Ethan Slater will play Boq in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical "Wicked," directed by Jon M. Chu.
The movie commenced shooting in the UK in 2022, with plans for release in November 2024.
