Ali Amin Gandapur, the newly elected chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has pledged to uphold justice, transparency, and the rights of the people following his success in the provincial assembly.
In a series of statements made after he was declared the winner, Gandapur expressed gratitude to the people and reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the trust placed in him.
Addressing various issues concerning the province and the political landscape, the PTI leader emphasized the need to rectify historical injustices, particularly highlighting the incarceration of political figures and alleged election irregularities. He called for the release of imprisoned members of his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and demanded an investigation into what he termed "stolen mandates".
“Historic injustice has been committed with our party, leader, and workers. The founder of the PTI is in jail in fake cases. His only fault is that he talked about the freedom of the country,” he stated, demanding the release of Imran Khan as soon as possible.
He further demanded that the injustices meted out to the PTI be redressed, stressing that the country and its institutions belonged to them also. He further highlighted that the treatment meted out to him today could be repeated with someone else tomorrow and vowed to bring in a system where no injustice could happen to anyone.
“If we don’t change the system, the people will hold us accountable tomorrow,” he stressed.
Gandapur recalled that many PTI women supporters were still in jail, and the party’s election symbol was taken away from it. “Forget a level playing field, we were not even allowed to enter the field altogether,” he asserted, adding that it was the responsibility of the state to give them their rights.

He then said the politicians should demand an inquiry into Form 45 and the stolen mandate brought before the world. “Stealing a mandate is treason against the Constitution,” he declared.
The newly elected CM also remarked that Imran Khan’s fault was that he told the nation about an alleged conspiracy against him and that he would prove it. There was prosperity and employment in the country during the PTI government, while after Imran Khan’s removal, there was historic inflation.
“We will make a law that if someone indulges in robbery in KP, there will be jihad against them,” Gandapur declared.
He further said that conducting clean and transparent elections was the job of the election commission, adding that the international community had said the polls were not clean and transparent. He then demanded the resignation of the chief election commissioner for failing to ensure clean and transparent elections.
“Everyone condemns the tragedy that happened on May 9, 2023. I was booked in cases and accused of vandalism. If there is evidence, I am here and ready for any punishment,” he stressed. He also warned of punishment if the fake cases were not quashed in a week.
Gandapur also suggested the chief justice of Pakistan conduct a judicial inquiry into the May 9 incidents.
Furthermore, he declared that they will neither commit corruption not let anyone do it. “Anyone who indulges in it will not be spared,” he vowed.
He added that his government will first end terrorism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as no nation could develop unless there was peace. He said nations were never built on the basis of loans, adding that there was a need to stand on one’s own feet.
Talking about his policies, he said a law that will be equal for all will be introduced. “If we don't get the rights, we will raise our voices,” he stressed, adding that women would be given rights in property and inheritance.
Moreover, the health card facility will commence from the first Ramazan, the CM announced.
