The Sindh cabinet has approved a one-year extension in the deployment of the Pakistan Rangers in the province, extending their stay from July 20, 2026, to July 19, 2027.
The extension will take effect after the federal Interior Ministry issues a formal notification.
Cabinet clears extension
The Sindh cabinet approved the continued deployment of the Pakistan Rangers for another year, according to official sources.
The force's tenure has been extended from July 20, 2026, until July 19, 2027.
Following the provincial cabinet's approval, the Ministry of Interior will issue the official notification to implement the extension.
The notification will formalise the Rangers' continued deployment in Sindh.
