Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation in security and sports after Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held high-level meetings in the Saudi capital, resulting in the signing of two important memorandums of understanding (MoUs).
Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud received Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Riyadh for talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of bilateral issues, including Pak-Saudi relations and cooperation between the interior ministries of both countries.
The ministers agreed to further enhance collaboration at the interior ministry level and signed an important memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in security matters.
Focus on stronger bilateral partnership
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to promoting closer coordination on issues of mutual interest.
Officials said the agreement would help strengthen cooperation between the two countries on security-related matters.

PCB, Saudi Cricket Federation sign strategic agreement
Separately, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Saudi Cricket Federation signed a strategic memorandum of understanding to accelerate the development of cricket in Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was signed by Saudi Cricket Federation Chairman Prince Saud bin Mishaal and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Under the agreement, a world-class cricket stadium will be built in Jeddah to support the growth of the sport in the Kingdom.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will also jointly develop cricket infrastructure, playing pitches and modern media facilities.

The Jeddah Cricket Stadium project is expected to enable Saudi Arabia to host international cricket matches and tournaments in the future.
Supporting Saudi Vision 2030
Officials said the stadium project would play an important role in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by expanding sports infrastructure and promoting international sporting events.
The agreement also includes cooperation on technical programmes, knowledge sharing and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.
Saudi Cricket Federation Chairman Prince Saud bin Mishaal said the long-term future of cricket and sustainable investment in the sport in Saudi Arabia remained the federation's primary objective.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said it was an honour for the Pakistan Cricket Board to contribute to Saudi Arabia's cricket journey and support the Kingdom's efforts to develop the game.
