Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed on Wednesday the completion of Daanish Schools in all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Islamabad.
PM chairs review meeting on Daanish Schools
A review meeting on the establishment of Daanish Schools and Daanish University across the country was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The prime minister said the construction of Daanish Schools across the country and Daanish University in Islamabad was the best investment for the nation’s bright future.

Speaking at the meeting, the prime minister said Daanish Schools and Daanish University were important national assets.
Premier calls for establishing Tech Campus in Muzaffarabad
He directed that a Tech Campus of Daanish University be established in Muzaffarabad and that the construction of Daanish Schools in all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir be completed as soon as possible.
The prime minister said the design of Daanish Schools should be aligned with local culture. He directed that the recruitment of teaching and other staff for Daanish Schools and the university should be carried out purely on merit.
The prime minister appreciated the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training team for progress in the construction of Daanish Schools.
Progress on 27 Daanish Schools
The meeting was informed that progress had been made on the construction of 27 Daanish Schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Islamabad, along with Daanish University in Islamabad.
Moreover, the meeting was told that the construction of Daanish School in Kuri, Islamabad, had been completed and teaching had started at the school.
The construction of Daanish Schools in Bagh, Bhimber, Sultanabad, Ghanche and Astore is nearing completion, with classes scheduled to begin from April 2027.
The meeting was informed that the recruitment process for teaching staff at Daanish University had started. Classes at the university will begin in 2027, with admissions based on merit, particularly for students from across the country and backward areas.
Federal Ministers Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahsan Iqbal, Attaullah Tarar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and senior officers of relevant institutions attended the meeting.
