A major political development has emerged in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), as candidates from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Kotli have announced their decision to join the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).
According to details, Malik Zulfiqar Ali, contesting from LA-8, and Malik Muhammad Yousaf, contesting from LA-10, met IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan.
Aleem Khan welcomes new entrants
IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan welcomed the leaders and candidates joining the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party. He said that lasting solutions to the problems of Azad Jammu and Kashmir would be provided and deprivations would be addressed.

He added that improved infrastructure would create employment opportunities.
IPP to contest AJK elections with verve
Abdul Aleem Khan said the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party would fully participate in the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections. Local government representatives, social and political leaders from Azad Jammu and Kashmir also met Abdul Aleem Khan. The IPP president presented party flags to those joining the party.
IPP senior leader Aun Chaudhry was also present on the occasion. PML-N leaders Malik Muhammad Ilyas, Chaudhry Ameer Qabil, and Malik Nizam Iqbal Minhas also met the IPP president. Malik Muhammad Mushtaq, Malik Sarmad Ali, Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Advocate Majid Malik and Malik Khalid Mahmood were also among those present.
Former president of the teachers’ organisation Hafiz Kazim Malik was also among those who met Abdul Aleem Khan.
