Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad were shaken by earthquake tremors on Wednesday.
5.4 magnitude earthquake in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush
The earthquake measured 5.4 on the Richter scale, with its centre located in the Hindu Kush mountain range of Afghanistan, at an underground depth. Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Khyber, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Chitral and Mardan, along with other upper and plains districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Seismic Centre, the quake was recorded at 5.3 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre in the Hindu Kush range of Afghanistan at a depth of 174 kilometres.
Earthquake tremors were also felt in Islamabad, while several provinces of Afghanistan reported shaking.
