France star Kylian Mbappé scored twice against Sweden to move into second place on the FIFA World Cup's all-time scoring list.
His tally has reached 18 goals. The two goals secured another milestone for Mbappé, lifting him to second place among the competition's highest scorers.
Mbappé moves second in World Cup scoring with 18 goals
Mbappé has surpassed former Germany striker Miroslav Klose's record of 16 World Cup goals. With 18 goals, he is now just one behind Argentina captain Lionel Messi, who has scored 19.
Mbappé has also scored six goals in the ongoing World Cup. He has drawn level with Messi on six goals in the tournament and is in contention for the Golden Boot.
Mbappé has also become the leading scorer in the tournament's knockout stage. His tally in World Cup knockout matches has reached 10 goals.
