A popular Ghanaian witch doctor has claimed that World Cup debutants Cape Verde will defeat defending champions Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, in their Round of 32 match.
Nana Kwaku Bonsam made the prediction despite the match having no connection with Ghana's campaign at the tournament.
Witch doctor’s Harry Kane curse drew World Cup attention
The self-proclaimed witch doctor attracted widespread attention during the World Cup after claiming to have placed a curse on England captain Harry Kane before Ghana's group-stage match against England. Kane did not score in the draw between the two sides.
Bonsam has now claimed that Cape Verde will cause a major upset by defeating Argentina in the Round of 32.
