A German man has set an unusual world record after consuming more than a kilogram of honey in just one minute.
Honey is among the world's most popular foods, but eating more than one kilogram of the thick substance within 60 seconds is a challenge few would consider possible.
Unlike water or soft drinks, honey's dense texture makes it far more difficult to swallow quickly, making the feat particularly demanding.
The record was achieved by German record-holder Andre Ortolf, who is widely known for attempting unusual and unconventional challenges.
Ortolf consumed 1,273 grams of honey, nearly one and a quarter kilograms, in 60 seconds, securing a new entry in the Guinness World Records.
A video of the attempt, which has gained attention on social media, shows Ortolf using a large spoon to consume honey from a container at remarkable speed.
Such rapid consumption of honey could pose a choking risk for an average person, but Ortolf completed the challenge through experience, determination and practice, successfully overcoming the so-called "sugar rush" test.
