Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that external powers cannot force Iran into submission through intimidation, threats, or coercion, stressing that the country will firmly defend its sovereignty and national rights.
Speaking in Tehran, he issued a strong message rejecting any expectation that Iran would surrender under pressure.
Pezeshkian said Iran would not bow to external threats, stating that those who believe the country can be destroyed are “only dreaming.”
He emphasized that Iran is prepared to confront any adversary with “full courage, confidence, and calmness,” adding that the nation will not tolerate aggression under any circumstances.
He further stated that martyrdom is considered an honor and a great achievement in Iranian society, reinforcing what he described as the country’s resilience.
The Iranian president said war is not in the interest of any country but added that Iran would not back down if conflict is imposed.
He accused external forces of attempting to push Iran into confrontation with Arab countries, claiming that such efforts had failed.
According to him, regional policies were shifting in a way that was reducing alignment with the United States and Israel, a process he said is ongoing.
Regional diplomacy, nternal unity
Pezeshkian said Iran’s leadership, including the Supreme Leader, is actively pursuing negotiations to resolve regional and political tensions.
He stressed the importance of internal unity and national solidarity, saying Iran must continue functioning despite economic and political challenges.
The president also claimed that adversaries were attempting to create internal divisions within the country.
He noted that he has been meeting Iran’s Supreme Leader regularly over the past year and a half, describing it as part of ongoing coordination on national issues.
Pezeshkian said these discussions are part of efforts to maintain stability and address both domestic and regional challenges.
