Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) police have sealed the central office of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) during a joint operation carried out with the district administration.
According to officials, the AJK government is continuing action against what it described as a disruptive group operating under the banner of the Action Committee. The district administration and police sealed the central office of the banned JAAC on allegations of involvement in anti-state activities.
Police said a submachine gun, a 12-bore rifle and a pistol were recovered during a search of the office.
Officials said a large number of people were present outside the central office at the time of the raid.
However, no protest or slogan-chanting was reported during the operation, according to the authorities.
