Pakistan and Italy have signed a visa waiver agreement for holders of diplomatic passports, marking an important step in strengthening diplomatic facilitation between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by Pakistan’s Ambassador Ali Javed and Italy’s Secretary General of Foreign Affairs at the Italian Foreign Ministry in Rome.
Pakistani Ambassador Ali Javed and the Italian Secretary General of Foreign Affairs signed the visa waiver agreement during a formal ceremony in Rome.
Before the signing ceremony, the two officials also held a one-on-one meeting at the Foreign Ministry. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest and further diplomatic cooperation between Pakistan and Italy.
Under the agreement, Pakistani and Italian diplomatic passport holders will be exempted from visa requirements when visiting each other’s countries.
The arrangement is expected to make official travel easier for diplomats and strengthen institutional engagement between Islamabad and Rome.
Pakistan-Italy ties receive fresh boost
The signing of the visa waiver agreement reflects ongoing efforts by both countries to enhance diplomatic relations and improve official-level exchanges.
The agreement is also expected to support smoother coordination between the two governments in future engagements.
