Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned Pakistan’s top military leadership on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha to extend greetings and pay tribute to the armed forces for their services and sacrifices for national security.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke over the telephone with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf.
The prime minister congratulated the services chiefs on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and conveyed his best wishes.
Tribute to armed forces
During the conversations, Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces and acknowledged their sacrifices and services for national security. He said the nation is proud of the unwavering commitment, courage and sacrifices of its brave soldiers and armed forces.

The PM also paid special tribute to officers and personnel who are performing their duties for the defence of the homeland during Eid-ul-Azha. He praised those serving away from their families to ensure the security and protection of the country.
Prayers for peace, prosperity, security
Prime Minister Sharif prayed for Pakistan’s security, progress and prosperity. He and the services chiefs also exchanged prayers for peace, happiness and prosperity for the entire nation on Eid-ul-Azha.
