US President Donald Trump has made strong remarks about Iran, diplomacy, and coordination with Israel.
He said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would follow his lead on key decisions.
Trump also emphasized that he is in no rush to finalize any agreement with Iran.
Donald Trump told reporters that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would act in line with his position on potential military action involving Iran.
When asked what he had recently told Netanyahu regarding a possible strike, Trump responded:
“He’s fine, he’ll do whatever I want him to do.”
He further described Netanyahu as a “very good man” and referred to him as a “wartime prime minister,” emphasizing cooperation between the two leaders.
Trump says he is 'in no hurry' on Iran deal
On the possibility of a diplomatic agreement with Iran, Trump said he is not under pressure to reach a deal quickly.
He stated that while options are being considered, he is taking a cautious approach to negotiations.
Trump said any arrangement would require immediate steps such as opening key strategic routes like the Strait of Hormuz, but added that he prefers to wait and assess conditions before moving forward.
He also noted:
“I’m in no hurry… Ideally I’d like to see few people killed, as opposed to a lot.”
Trump also referred to previously discussed timelines, saying he could wait “two or three days” or a limited period before making further decisions on Iran policy.
He added that a planned strike earlier in the week had been called off, suggesting ongoing internal discussions around military and diplomatic options.
