Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to China has led to changes in the schedule for the new federal budget.
Sources said the federal budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 is likely to be presented on June 5. The Economic Survey 2025-26 is expected to be released on June 4.
A proposal has been made to convene the meeting of the National Economic Council on June 3. The Annual Plan Coordination Committee meeting has been postponed until June 1.
Earlier, the committee meeting had been scheduled for May 20.
