Additional Inspector General Karachi Azad Khan has said that some African nationals residing in Lahore are linked to the drug network operated by alleged “cocaine queen” Anmol alias Pinky.
Addressing a press conference, Azad Khan said the network was extensive and that riders and women were also involved in the supply of narcotics. He said forensic analysis of Anmol Pinky’s mobile phone had been completed, revealing 869 contact numbers, of which 132 belonged to Karachi.
The Karachi police chief said the names of four individuals were being placed on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Azad Khan said 20 cases had been registered against Anmol Pinky in Sindh, while arrest warrants had been issued in nine cases.
He said three police personnel had been suspended for violating standard operating procedures during the suspect’s court appearance.
The additional IG said the locations of the suspect’s accomplices were being traced and that police were in contact with various institutions in connection with the investigation.
“Pinky’s brand will become a noose for her,” Azad Khan said.
