The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party and Islami Tehreek Pakistan (ITP) have announced plans to form a joint government after success in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections.
According to details that emerged on Thursday, IPP Central General Secretary Khalid Mahmood and Islami Tehreek leader Sheikh Mirza Ali told a press conference in Gilgit that both parties had decided to contest the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections on June 7 jointly and finalise seat adjustments through mutual understanding.
Leaders of both parties expressed the resolve to form a government distinct from previous administrations after winning the elections. They said their alliance would establish an exemplary administration devoted solely to public service.
The parties have agreed on seat adjustment and pledge a public service-oriented government in Gilgit-Baltistan.
