Singer, actor, and visual artist Ali Zafar has released the music video for his latest track “Shiddat”, featuring a striking transformation of his 2002 thesis painting into an AI-generated cinematic experience.
The project merges nostalgia, technology, and storytelling in a visually immersive presentation from his album Roshni.
The music video is based on an original painting Ali Zafar created in 2002 during his fine arts studies at the National College of Arts (NCA).
Using cutting-edge AI technology, the artwork has been reimagined into moving visuals while preserving its original emotional tone, colors, and artistic essence.
“Shiddat” music video concept
The video explores deep human emotions including love, loneliness, memory, and emotional conflict.
Presented in a dreamy and surreal visual style, the narrative unfolds through AI-generated frames that reflect the mood of the original painting.
AI meets artistic direction
The project has been directed by Fawaz Rehan and Ayla Asim, with the entire music video produced through AI virtual production techniques.
Each frame has been generated using artificial intelligence, blending modern tools with traditional artistic inspiration.
Ali Zafar described ““Shiddat”” as more than just a music video, calling it a reflection of his creative evolution as an artist, musician, and storyteller.
He said the project brings together painting, music, cinema, and artificial intelligence into a unified artistic expression.
