Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the development of Balochistan, stating that improving the province and the welfare of its people remains a top priority.
The remarks came during a meeting with a delegation of senior Balochistan politicians in Islamabad.
Balochistan leadership meets PM
A delegation of prominent political figures from Balochistan met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss matters related to the province’s development.
The delegation included:
- Senator Mir Dosteen Khan Domki
- Balochistan Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran
- Balochistan Assembly members Sardar Chengiz Marri
- Mir Khuda Bakhsh Marri
The meeting focused on ongoing development initiatives and strengthening coordination between federal and provincial governments.
Federal govt’s commitment to Balochistan
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the development and prosperity of Balochistan and the welfare of its people are central to the government’s agenda.
He said the federal government is actively working with the provincial administration to accelerate progress across the province.
The prime minister highlighted that Balochistan is rich in natural resources.
He added that efforts are underway to ensure that the people of the province are able to fully benefit from these resources, aiming to translate natural wealth into public welfare and economic growth.
