Iran has said negotiations with the United States are becoming difficult because of what it called excessive and unreasonable American demands.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqai said the US attitude is complicating the negotiation process despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Speaking at a press briefing, Baqai said the situation is deteriorating even though diplomatic efforts are continuing. He said the security and stability of the region remain among Iran’s top priorities.
According to him, US actions are creating security problems in the region.
Pakistan praised as mediator
Baqai said Pakistan is playing a professional role as a mediator in the talks. He said Iran responded to US proposals while keeping regional interests in mind.

The spokesperson added that the proposals given to Washington are reasonable and fair.
Iran informs China about US actions
Baqai said Iran has informed China that US actions could create unrest and instability. He said Tehran remains committed to defending its interests while also using diplomacy whenever possible.
“Whenever we are forced to fight, we will fight,” Baqai said.
He added that whenever there is an opportunity for diplomacy, Iran will use it.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said US demands are still unreasonable. He said Iran has proven that it is serious about protecting the interests of its people.
Baqai said advancing negotiations under the current American demands is becoming increasingly difficult.
Regional countries contact Iran
Separately, Iranian National Security Committee spokesperson Ebrahim Rezaei said countries in the region are beginning to understand the seriousness of the situation.
He said some regional countries have sent messages to Iran.

According to Rezaei, several countries in the region have admitted their mistake and are now communicating with Tehran.
