Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain has rejected reports on Sunday that Pakistani workers were being deported from Dubai.
Speaking to Samaa TV, the minister said employment opportunities for Pakistanis in the Gulf states were increasing and that demand for Pakistani workers had risen in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, adding that the jobs of Pakistanis in the United Arab Emirates remained secure.
Hussain has said that the discussions had been held with some individuals regarding the matter, according to information available to him.
The federal minister has said that the government was seeking new overseas employment markets for Pakistanis and expressed hope that job opportunities for Pakistanis abroad, particularly in the Gulf region, would continue to improve.
