Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh have shut down rumors of alleged on-set rivalry involving Wamiqa Gabbi during the promotions of Pati Patni Aur Woh 2.
The actors addressed the ongoing speculation in a recent interview and stressed that the atmosphere on set was supportive and collaborative rather than competitive.
Speaking to News18, Sara Ali Khan said every actor on the set had a different personality but shared mutual admiration and respect.
“We are all different personalities, but we admire and support each other. On set, it feels like one big family,” she said.
Sara also praised director Mudassar Aziz for ensuring that each character had a clear identity in the script.
According to her, the balanced storytelling helped prevent feelings of competition among the cast members.
“It’s ‘our film’, not ‘my part’ or ‘her part’. The better a co-actor performs, the stronger the film becomes,” Sara added.
Rakul Preet singh blames social media narratives
Rakul Preet Singh said social media often creates unnecessary controversies around female actors.
“The media created this perception. A narrative becomes truth if repeated enough times,” she said.
Rakul stressed that professional actors focus on making the film successful rather than engaging in personal conflicts.
“Catfights only exist in stories, not reality,” she remarked.
The actress further added that the long-standing stereotype about women not getting along in the entertainment industry is largely manufactured.
Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Vijay Raaz, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ayesha Raza, and Durgesh Kumar in supporting roles.
The actors said the collaborative environment on set helped strengthen both performances and personal connections among the cast.
Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 is scheduled to release on May 15 and also features Ayushmann Khurrana in a leading role.
The film has already generated strong buzz ahead of its release due to its star-studded cast and ongoing promotional campaign.
