The deputy chief of naval staff operations has said the enemy was proud of its naval strength and made claims about its “blue water navy,” but the Indian Navy did not dare to attack Pakistan or approach Pakistani waters.
Presenting what he called key facts, he said Pakistan’s naval forces remained fully prepared in both peace and war.
In a press conference alongside the ISPR DG and an air force official, the Naval official said the enemy had great pride in its naval power. He added that India often made claims about having a blue water navy and that the Indian Navy was equipped in every way.
However, he said that despite these claims, the Indian Navy did not dare to attack Pakistan.
Indian fleet deployment attempt
The official said India tried to deploy its naval fleet, adding that Pakistan’s coastal installations remained safe throughout the situation. He added that the country’s ports remained active, showing that Pakistan’s maritime operations continued without disruption.
He said the coordination among Pakistan’s armed forces during Marka-e-Haq became the guarantee of success. He said effective joint planning and operational readiness helped Pakistan protect its maritime interests.
According to him, this coordination reflected the strength and preparedness of Pakistan’s defence structure. India later started making irresponsible statements to dispel fear, he claimed.
The deputy chief of naval staff said that whether in peace or war, Pakistan knows how to defend its naval forces. He added that the Indian Navy did not dare to come close to Pakistani waters.
Pakistan wants peace but is not weak
The Naval official said Pakistan wants peace, but peace should not be mistaken for weakness. He added that Pakistan continues to polish and improve its capabilities day by day.
He also said that Pakistan’s naval assets remain present at sea and ready to protect national interests.
He also referred to a recent fire incident on a ship named MV Gautam, adding that a Pakistan Navy ship was nearby at the time. The Pakistani personnel extinguished the fire and rescued 11 crew members.
He said an Indian Navy ship was also present near the vessel during the incident. He urged the enemy to keep ground realities in mind and show responsibility in words and actions.
