Pakistani actress Uzma Tahir has openly criticized actor Danish Taimur, saying fame has brought arrogance into his personality.
During a recent interview, the actress spoke candidly about the behavior of actors in the entertainment industry and shared her thoughts on how success can change people.
Speaking during the interview, Uzma Tahir said she has not actively worked in dramas for the past 10 years. Reflecting on her early days in the industry, she said senior actors often maintained a distance from newcomers.
She claimed that when she started her career, juniors were not even allowed to sit beside senior artists. According to her, such behavior still exists in the industry today.
Separate treatment on drama sets
The actress further stated that senior actors are often treated differently on sets, including separate meal arrangements compared to junior staff members.
While discussing actor behavior, she specifically mentioned Danish Taimur and said she believes “a little ego” has entered his personality.
Uzma Tahir recalled Danish Taimur’s early career struggles and said people should remain grounded despite achieving fame and financial success.
She said that she had seen his journey closely and remembered the time when he would travel by bus for work before becoming a successful television star.
“With apologies, when you entered this field, you did not even have an FX vehicle and used to come by bus for shows,” she remarked during the interview.
Praise for Sadaf Kanwal
The actress added that successful individuals should treat old colleagues and co-workers with kindness and respect.
She also mentioned actress Sadaf Kanwal, saying that Sadaf’s personality and attitude match well with her own.
