A survey has shown that 74 per cent of Pakistani citizens are aware of Pakistan’s mediation efforts between the United States and Iran.
The survey has been issued by the international research organisation Ipsos. According to the findings, awareness stood at 74 per cent, compared with 65 per cent during the previous wave of tensions. Some 45 per cent of respondents said it was a major gain for Pakistan.
The survey added that 37 per cent believed Pakistan’s global image had improved. A total of 33 per cent stated that Pakistan’s diplomacy had strengthened, while 31 per cent said the country’s international standing had improved.
55 per cent of respondents credited Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, while 38 per cent expressed support for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. 6 per cent backed Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
