According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two officials discussed recent developments in the region and explored ways to promote peace through dialogue and diplomatic engagement.

Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting constructive communication between Iran and the United States, stressing that negotiations remain the only viable route to resolving disputes and ensuring long-term stability.
The conversation comes as Islamabad continues to position itself as a potential mediator, with officials highlighting the importance of reducing tensions through political channels rather than escalation.
Araghchi, for his part, welcomed Pakistan’s role, praising what he described as sincere and constructive efforts to facilitate dialogue between the parties involved, the statement said.
