Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Saturday that Moscow opposes military aggression against Iran and stands ready to extend all possible support for the establishment of peace.
According to details, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart. On this occasion, both leaders exchanged views on ongoing efforts to ensure peace in the region.
During the discussions, Iran and Russia expressed their resolve to continue efforts aimed at achieving long-term peace.
Moreover, Araghchi spoke with his French counterpart and discussed mediation efforts and matters relating to the Strait of Hormuz.
