Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and briefed him on the security situation in the country and measures taken to maintain law and order.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, the interior minister informed the prime minister about overall security arrangements and preparedness across the country. He also apprised the prime minister regarding security and administrative arrangements for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 final match between Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen.

The prime minister directed that the best possible arrangements be ensured for players, spectators, and citizens during the PSL 11 final.
Separately, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Ahmad Hassan met the prime minister in Lahore. During the meeting, views were exchanged on the current international situation and domestic political affairs. PM Shehbaz said that it was a matter of gratitude that Pakistan’s standing in the world had improved significantly.
He said that Pakistan’s mediatory role had helped save many human lives. Khawaja Ahmad Hassan said that the Muslim world and other countries held the leadership of PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Asim Munir in high regard.
He added that recent international diplomatic efforts had been widely appreciated by global leaders. He also stated that the green passport had begun to regain respect across the world, crediting the current leadership.
The prime minister thanked people from all walks of life for their support and backing.
Separately, PM Shehbaz directed that an uninterrupted supply of energy be ensured to promote industrial development. Chairing a meeting on energy sector reforms, the prime minister ordered improvements in the electricity transmission system and a reduction in line losses.

He stressed facilitation for both industrial and domestic consumers and the promotion of modern technology in the energy sector.
He also directed the promotion of renewable energy projects to address the country’s energy shortfall.
The prime minister called for a comprehensive strategy to stabilise electricity tariffs and ordered continued action against power theft.
He directed the expansion of digital systems to facilitate bill payments for consumers.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and other federal ministers and senior officials.
