The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert for dust storms and rain across the province from May 2 to 4.
According to the PDMA spokesman, rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, the Galiyat, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal during the period.
Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sargodha and Mianwali may also be affected, while Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Khushab and Mandi Bahauddin are likely to receive rainfall.
Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Jhang and Chiniot are also included in the forecast. Weather changes are expected in Bhakkar, Layyah, Rajanpur, Noorpur Thal and Dera Ghazi Khan.
The PDMA has directed all relevant departments to remain on alert.
Separately, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain in the upper and central parts of the country from May 2 to May 4.
Rain is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, the Potohar region, Murree, the Galiyat and central Punjab.
In southern Punjab, rainfall may occur at a few places between May 3 and May 4, while parts of Balochistan are also likely to receive rain during the same period.
Dust storms and thunderstorms are expected in upper Sindh from May 2 to May 3, the department said.
